We’ve updated our blog with a new look. Something simple and clean which is what we’re feeling right now. A few new features have been added, mostly stuff for my own interests, but maybe you’ll find something new too. Enjoy!

Folks in Milwaukee and New York are in for a special handmade treat! Special screenings of the documentary “Handmade Nation” by director Faythe Levine and featuring some “superstars” of craft. Those of you in the biz for sure know about this, but for anyone who doesn’t…”Handmade Nation” (65 minutes) documents the new wave of craft that is capturing the attention of the nation. It’s the feature film debut of Faythe Levine, co-owner of Paper Boat Boutique & Gallery in Bay View and organizer of the yearly indie craft fair Art vs. Craft. Faythe Levine traveled to 15 cities and covered more than 19,000 miles to interview subjects of the film. A book by the same title, written with Cortney Heimerl, was published in October by Princeton Architectural Press.
